Comprised the off-line construction of a new 80,000 sq feet sales area superstore on the site of an existing live store that remained open throughout the main construction phase and adjacent land acquired by the client, with phased demolition of the existing store & reconfiguration of the new car parking for the final scheme

Challenge

Due to the complexities of a new build scheme incorporating the existing live store, the programme required phased completion of the build & extensive traffic management in the existing car park to accommodate the reconfiguration of the existing & construction of the new car parking provision.

Approach

A dedicated site management team ensured that we liaised with the client every step of the way & agreed phased completion of our works to suit the incorporation of the existing store trading with the new build scheme. Careful planning of the car park works ensured sufficient parking provision to allow the existing store to trade through the works for the new development.
